    Communication

We value open communication between parents and staff.

Along with your child’s profile book, we share progress through daily chats and whānau events.

Teachers use your input to support your child’s learning and wellbeing.

Together, we create a strong and supportive learning environment.

    Medical Information

As part of the Ministry of Education requirements, we are required to keep a copy of each child's immunisation certificate.

If your child is not immunised, you must provide a written statement. This information helps us respond appropriately in the event of a communicable disease outbreak.

    Injuries

If your child is injured while at the centre, our staff will provide basic first aid.

If further medical attention is needed, we will contact parents or caregivers immediately using the emergency contact details provided.

In serious cases, Emergency Services will be called straight without delay.

    Clothing

Exploration often means getting messy! While most materials are washable, some paints and resources may occasionally leave stains.

Please dress your child in comfortable, play-friendly clothing and ensure all items are named. A spare set of clothes in their bag each day is recommended for accidents or messy play.

In summer, children must wear a hat outside — sunblock is provided by the centre.

    Nutrition

To support children’s wellbeing, we encourage parents to pack healthy, balanced lunches. Takeaways, lollies, energy drinks, and sugary foods are not permitted at the centre.

Children are also asked to bring a piece of fruit each day to contribute to a shared fruit platter, available throughout the day for snacking.

Please note: Nuts and nut-based products are strictly not allowed due to severe allergies.

Parent Resources

The Parent Handbook provides new parents with an understanding of the mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures followed at our centre.
